Algiers- security services have succeeded the day before yesterday morning, to identify one of the three terrorists, eliminated in an ambush in the region of Takhoukht inTizi Ouzou.

  • According to corroborating sources Ennahar, the man identified is named Rabah, nicknamed “Abu Abdessamie,” aged 32 and born in the neighbourhood of Douera, west of Algiers. He reportedly joined the army activity within the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) in 2000. A year after, he was appointed head of the information committee within "Katibet Ennour" one of the largest and most dangerous terrorist groups operating in the centre after "Katibet El Ansar” and “El Arkam". He activated in the area of Boumerdes before moving to Tizi Ouzou with the named “Abdelhak,” eliminated three years ago.

Abu Abdessamie was with the Emir of “Saryate Sidi Ali Bounab,” named “Abou Sofiane” and a third person being identified. All eliminated in the same ambush by the army forces while they were returning from a mission.

The presence of the Chief of the Information Committee of “Katibet Ennour,” which has suffered several setbacks in addition to the elimination of its emir “Makhloufi Sahari,” alias “Abu Meriem,” the Kamikaz who committed the attack against the headquarters of the security in Tizi Ouzou, shows that important leaders of Al Qaeda organization led by Droukdal, move in person to ensure the success of terrorist operations in the shadow of betrayal and internal leakage.
