William E. Ward, AFRICOM commander visits Algiers

Algiers- Commander of the United States Africa Command (Africom), General William E. Ward, arrived Wednesday in Algiers, as part of an official visit to Algeria at the head a large military delegation.

• At his arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport, the commander of Africom was greeted by Major General Ghriss Abdelhamid, chief of organization and logistics department to the Staff of the National Popular Army (ANP) and General Mekri Noureddine, Director of External Relations and Cooperation at the Ministry of Defence and by United States Ambassador in Algiers and the military attaché at the U.S. embassy.
