07 injured in clashes Berriane
Seven people were injured in clashes between the faithful at the end of a mosque Friday afternoon near Berriane, in Ghardaïa (600 km south of Algiers), announced the news agency APS.
- The clashes blew up at the end of the Friday prayers outside the mosque.
The police immediately interfered and considerable reinforcements of the security services were dispatched in the town, according to APS.
Violent clashes had opposed from 16 to 18 May 2008 young people from both communities of Berriane in this region of Ghardaia (M'Zab), the Chaambas of Arab origin and the Mozabites, of Berber origin.
The violence had left two people dead, according to security services.
