Algiers- Mohammed Djetti, alias “Abul Kassem El Maghrebi,” a Moroccan terrorist, admitted having had relations with many Algerian terrorists

  • Mohammed Djetti, alias “Abul Kassem El Maghrebi,” a Moroccan terrorist, admitted having had relations with many Algerian terrorists and had built strong relationships with the organization Al Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). The latter has also indicated having been cellmate of “Abu Mosaab” and several other Algerian terrorists during his imprisonment in Algeria.

The terrorist Abul Kassem El Maghrebi (the Moroccan), 25, who activated in Morocco before his arrest, said during the questioning by the Morocco intelligence services, according to Moroccan press reports, that he went to Iraq to fight the U.S. and Iraqi Shiites, then travelled to
Turkey with an Algeria friend. During these trips, he claimed, he had tied a close relationship with the terrorist organization Al Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). Harassed by the Turkish intelligence services, he travelled to Algeria where he intended to spend a few days before leaving for Afghanistan, but he was arrested in a hotel in Algiers.

Abul Kassem admitted having been in contact with Algerian terrorists without giving names, and that he was ready to join the organization AQIM.
"I was jailed for eight months. They put me in solitary confinement next to Abu Mosaab El Jazairi,” before adding that he had been handed over to Morocco last November 8.
