President Bouteflika attends the AU Summit in Addis Abeba

Addis Abeba (Ethiopia)- Works of 12th Forum of African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) got underway Saturday afternoon in Addis Ababa with the participation of Heads of State and Government of member countries, including President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

• The Forum will examine the reports to be tabled by four countries, South Africa, Benin, Burkina Faso and Uganda. It will also broach the recommendations that have been made by APRM member countries.
• These recommendations focus mainly on the speeding up of the African Mechanism’s implementation while ensuring the participation of all key players in the development process, more particularly universities and civil society in Africa.
• Earlier, the president of the Republic had partaken in the summit of Committee of Heads of State and Government in charge of NEPAD implementation.
