Case of the 02 American Jews: The Algerian engineer acquitted

The criminal court of Ourgla acquitted yesterday the Algerian Ahmed Ben Amer, a computer engineer and a former official of the American company "Global" activating in Hassi Messaoud in the Department of Ourgla who was accused of false charges against two American Jews working in the company whom he accused of harming the person of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), symbol of the Muslim Nation and also the person of the President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, symbol of the Algerian State.
- According to a declaration of a judicial source to Ennahar, the acquittal of the Algerian involved in this case comes after the decision made by the company to suspend the two officials accused by the latter. The investigation continues on the two people who are currently outside Algerian territory.
The case dates back to early 2008 when the Algerian discovers exchanges of photos between the two foreign executives who worked at the American company. And after checking the mails, he discovered that they exchanged photographs affecting the person of the Prophet Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him) showing him as a dwarf with the foot of a wild boar on the chest as well as vulgar writings on the photo. He also found photos detrimental to the President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika showing him as a dwarf with insulting writings.
Ahmed Ben Amer who filed a complaint against the two Americans said he had discovered it by accident and the two Americans sent these photos by email to foreign countries. So he decided to make a complaint to the prosecutor at the criminal court of Ourgla who immediately opened an investigation into the case. After that, the Algerian was accused of making false charges before being acquitted yesterday. -
Moreover, the decision of the American society "Global" to suspend and dismiss the two American leads to questions about the record of this case which will remain open for a new kind of crime in the annals of the Algerian justice.
