Benbouzid : the current season won’t be void

Algiers- National Education Minister Boubekeur Benbouzid declared Saturday in Algiers that the current season 2009-2010 "will not be void," referring to the two education unions are "determined" to pursue.
- In a statement delivered, during a national conference of provincial directors of education, devoted to the application of the government’s decisions on teachers strike, Benbouzid declared that "there will not be a void season and it is out of question to compromise a constitutional right for the Algerian people," in reply to supporters of maintaining the strike. The minister added that the government emphasized the need to stop this strike, deeming "sufficient", even "consistent" the pay rise granted to the teachers, estimated at DZD420bn.
