President Bouteflika attends a ceremony in honour of Algerian women

Algiers- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika chaired on Monday a ceremony on the honour of Algerian woman, on the occasion of the international woman day.
- This ceremony was marked by the presence of moudjahidate, women parliamentary members, intellectuals and civil society members. On the eve of the celebration of this day, President Bouteflika announced in a message to Algerian women, his decision to "increase the percentage of women the Council of Nation and to start the application of the article 31 Bis of the constitution which provides the enlargement of the women’s political participation in the elected assemblies." "We are working continuously and with the same determination on the elaboration of a legal base devoted to the creation of a national centre for studies, information, documentation about family, woman, and childhood," the President added.
