Martyrs' widows will receive 4.5 million centimes per month

Algiers- Minister of mujahideen, Mohamed Cherif Abbas, has declared that the widow of Shahid will, from next April, benefit from an increase in pension and will receive 4.5 million centimes.
- The Minister explained that this increase is a result of wage increases mandated by the government after the tripartite late last year.
- In a statement to Ennahar yesterday evening on the sidelines of the celebrations of March 8, Minister of mujahideen, Mohamed Cherif Abbas said that the pensions of widows of Shahid will be applied retroactively from the month of January. It will reach 45,000 DA per month detailing that the usual form of payment, will be kept, that is to say, each quarter.
- This pension, the minister said, is actually composed of two pensions: the first is the basic pension which is worth 2 million 25.000 cents, to which will be added to a second pension of 15,000 DA (minimum wage) plus 7500 DA.
- Furthermore, the Minister announced the grant of new pensions to the children of Chouhada (descendants) while the child of two Shahids (father and mother) will receive a double pension in accordance with the Code of Mujahid and Shahid in force on the category of widows and children of Shuhada. The minister cites Article 25 of the Act on the transfer of the widow's pension of Shahid to the children (boys and girls) without resources.
