El Qaeda and the Mafia of counterfeiters

The trial of one of the most dangerous mafia specialised in falsification of documents started today at the criminal court of Algiers. This latter has been working with terrorist groups as mentioned in the minutes of the Judicial Police, which reveals the discovery, at the home of the main accused, 'B. Mohamed of two identification cards belonging to two terrorists ...Z. Rabah... and ...B. Baghdad... and a grey card belonging to a terrorist ...A. Mohamed..., this in addition to other objects belonging to terrorist groups.

• The case of trafficking in the document, the first of its kind, covers the entire national territory and involved a large number of mafia traffickers of documents. 26 one presented before the court for various charges including adherence in terrorist groups, charges that justice base on for its severity.
  
  The terrorists used false identity documents for travel, mostly for foreigner members, such as Tunisian, Moroccan and Libyan. In addition to these charges they are accused of counterfeit and imitation of state official seals. The security services have discovered during the search made in the residence of the principal accused, “B. Mohamed” various officials false stamps, such as the Daïra security, bearing the subscription “National urban Security, El Mouradia” which the accused has admitted having copied on a computer for possible use.
  
  The security services have also discovered during the search in B. Mohamed’s house Daïra stamp bearing the inscription “Department of Defense, National Popular Army, Directorate of Personnel” and another stamp of the Ministry of Justice with the inscription “Courthouse of Medea” which was widely used according him, in falsifying documents. This latter also recognized using the stamp of the head of Bir Mourad Rais Daïra. The security services also found two birth certificates bearing the stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and seven registration cards of several vehicles whose chassis numbers were falsified.
  The security services have also discovered other official seals at the home of another accomplice, referred to as the 'N. Sebti”.
  
  The defendants involved in this case came from several departments inside and outside of the country such as the departments of Ghelizane, Oran, Batna, Tissemsilt, Boumerdès and Algiers. This latter is ranked first in number of defendants. One of them lives in 132, rue de la République, Paris No. 12 France. He is the only foreign defendant in this case.
  This mafia of counterfeiters activate in all these regions. They are specialists in car theft and smuggling of registration numbers. These cars are sold in pieces.
  
  Investigations have revealed that members of the mafia lease vehicles at the car rental agencies. They make copies of the keys of these cars in order to facilitate the operation of theft. among the agencies listed vehicle sales, Nissan with its 4x4 vehicles in addition to two other agencies.
  Among the stolen vehicles whose papers have been falsified, a 305, a 307 and a 206, the latter was brought from France by “K. Toufik”. The members of the mafia used firearms in their theft operations. Cartridges and a weapon were discovered in the home of “N. S”.
