Flotilla Ghaza: Ennahar publishes the list of members of the Algerian delegation ALGIERS - Algerian Movement of Society for Peace (MSP) said Monday he had "no news" of a Algeriandelegation among the pro-Palestinian fleet stormed in the morning by the Israeli army.
- "We have no news of the 32-member delegation comprising MPs, journalists and doctors. We were in contact via satellite phone with the head of the delegation, but communication was interrupted two hours before the attack" said communications director of MSP, Mohamed Djemaa.
"There are unconfirmed reports of two victims among the delegation," he added.
The delegation, led by the MSP, "is aboard a boat purchased in Turkey, but bringing the national flag," said Mr. Djemaa.
The MSP is with the National Liberation Front (FLN) and the National Democratic Rally (RND), the presidential Alliance in power in Algeria.
"Knowing that outlaw state, one is not surprised by this attack against a convoy carrying supplies for the population of Ghaza," added Djemaa for whom "Israel has the backing of Western countries including the United States and complacency of the UN".
The President of the MSP Bouguerra Soltani, whose wife is part of the delegation, for his part has announced the dispatch of a parliamentary delegation to Turkey to try to get information about the 32 Algerians.
"Algeria has no diplomatic relations with Israel. We have decided today to send a parliamentary delegation to Ankara," Soltani said at a news conference.
"We want to know the fate of our nationals. Are there among them victims?", He said, adding that the ship carrying Algerian building materials.
Algeria has condemned Monday "in the strongest terms" the Israeli onslaught against the fleet of international aid for Ghaza and requested a "strong and unanimous" from the international community.
The assault by Israeli naval commandos killed at least nine deaths among the passengers, the army said.
