The noose tightens around El Qaeda terrorist groups

The El Qaeda organisation has known, in the department of Boumerdès in the current year, the harder times for its groups and this, after the severe strikes they received which have shaken its foundations considered strong before. These blows have shaken the organization of Droukdal, including Boumerdès where he has lost some of his emirs and elements belonging to sleeping cells.

  The security situation in the department of Boumerdès and other neighbouring regions, such as Tizi Ouzou and Bouira, is characterized by the weakening of the terrorist organizations and its fragility, in addition to the crisis within its ranks after the tightening operated around them by the security forces. This led the emir of Katibat El Ansar, Bentouati to surrender to the security services last January in Tizi Ouzou, followed by the emir of Katibat El Feth Bentitraoui, who was eliminated last month in Boumerdès. This dangerous terrorist had committed a lot of terrorist acts, such as the attack against the headquarters of the urban security in Boumerdès on 18 February 2007 and several bombings in the center of Boumerdès including the attempted of murder of a police officer, who miraculously escaped. In addition to other attacks and murders he had committed during the year 1995.
  
  Droukdal has not only lost his right arm but both arms after these painful blows and defections within the terrorist groups that he did not expected. A campaign of arrests has been operated within the terrorist sleeping cells and support cells (seven cells have been dismantled since the surrender of the emir of Katibat El Ansar) thanks to important information provided to security services which have ensured the success of these operations. 22 elements have been arrested according to sources of Ennahar. The search operation is still underway to find 8 others.
  
  According to our sources, the El Qaeda organisation in Boumerdès faces difficulties; its activities have diminished in a way that terrorist groups could not achieve their objectives during the current year.
  
  Droukdal also lives difficult times after the loss or defection of his emirs and the blows against his sleeping cells and support cells. Contact with the outside world, previously provided by those cells was cut and recruitment within populations has become very difficult.
  Droukdal is trying to save what remains and is devoted more to keep his components rather than to look for other new recruits.

  Army forces began large-scale operations in different regions in the department of Boumerdès to tighten the noose around the residue of terrorist groups who already live difficult circumstances. More than 18 bunkers, used by terrorists, have been demolished including two workshops for weapon storage have been recently discovered in Bouzegza and Dellès after information provided by the Emir of Katibat El Ansar who surrendered.
