Prison for the security director at Djezzy
Algiers- The Court of First Instance of El Harrach yesterday ruled on the case of the fake colonel "T. Omar", former captain of the national army in the body of the Air Force and Director General of Security at "Djezzy", who pretended to be a colonel and threatened his deputy at the same company who constituted as civil party in the case.
- The arrest of the respondent took had place on August 29, upon further investigation, which lasted from 18 to 21 August last, following a complaint lodged by the victim, who served as deputy director of security of Djezzy, that the latter claimed to be a colonel in the army and was called « Colonel Djamel ». He claimed to have many relationships with members of the secret services. The fake colonel threatened his assistant, saying « I will call my men and they'll put you in the trunk ». He claimed to work with General Ismail and that his specialty was intelligence.
The respondent denied all the accusations and said that the employees called "Hadarat" (military title) only for joking. Adding that he was actually a captain in the Air Force and that he had held several positions in public and private companies. - He also denied having forced the employees to call him "Hadarat"
- The accused faces two years in prison and a fine of 20,000 DA.
