Fights and booking of first row places for "Tarawih" parayer
Booking a hotel room or an air ticket or even a table in the restaurant by phone is something absolutely normal, but when it comes to booking a place in the front row at a mosque in this holy month of Ramadan in order not to miss the prayer of the "Tarawih", it seems a bit strange despite the good intentions of these people.
- These people feel closer to God by winning a seat in the front row just behind the imam even if for this they should use the strong means.
- During the month of Ramadhan, mosques are being invaded by Muslims right after iftar for the evening prayer (Isha) followed by 'Taraweeh', and for a place, preferably in the front row all the means are allowed even the bad ones, even the fights and fisticuffs are used. Some, may be more intelligent, ask their friends to keep a place for them. They use bottles of mineral water or even keys they put on the place booked for their friends.
- A simple phone call and your place is booked
- - You risk not having a place if you don’t hurry.
- - No problem, I booked a place in the first row.
- This is not a joke, but part of a discussion between two people after the Iftar (breaking of fasting) in this holy month of Ramadan. It is also the view of the religion by many ignorant people who care more for the form and ignore the substance, to the point that they do not hesitate to use twisted means in order to achieve their goals.
- To book a place in the first row, just put a bottle of mineral water, a jacket or your keys in the desired place.
- - It's my place, I booked it just now, you do not see the bottle of water?
- Last week, an unusual incident occurred in a mosque in Algiers. A scuffle broke out between about thirty faithful because a child came with his father and another man did not appreciate the presence of the child in the mosque. The situation almost degenerate without the intervention of some elders and the Imam.
- Similar cases have been recorded in various mosques in the country, because of ignorance.
