Explosion of a bomb outside a military barracks in Boumerdes

A handmade bomb, handled remotely, has exploded the day before yesterday near a military barracks in Bordj Ménaïl in the province of Boumerdes. Fortunately, no casualties or damage have been registrered .
- The bomb, which a terrorist group blew up with a mobile phone, was put at the western entrance of the town of Bordj Ménaïl, next to the wall of the entreprise « Socothyd », a few meters from a military barracks. The explosion occurred at 6:30 pm, causing no casualties or damage in equipments.
- The elements of the PNA have undertaken an extensive search operation in eastern and south-east regions, which coincides with the end of Ramadan and the Eid, during which time, terrorists double violence and commit attacks.
- This special Ramadhan security plan, aims to struggle against terrorism by reenforcing checkpoints and mobile security brigades, equipped with sophisticated equipment to detect explosives and to prevent car bombs from passing.
