Hassan Hattab called terrorists to repent

Algiers- a Salafist group headed by former Emir of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), Hassan Hattab, has appealed the wise, imams and students in religious sciences, to support their initiative to convince the terrorists to repent.

  • The appeal, broadcast Wednesday by the Algerian radio was as follows:
  • We, a group of Salafi preachers and former military leaders of the GSPC and other people who have joined us and who support our initiative, wise, imams and students of religious sciences, thinkers and scholars of civil society, we call the wise of our society to contribute in the framework of this legal and peaceful initiative which we have put in place with full conviction.
  • The group considers this initiative as the only solution to the crisis that may take bloody country. It aims to preserve human life of Algerians.
  • The group also calls for the national reconciliation to be maintained and the need for support for this initiative from the wise by giving legality to enable it to achieve the desired results.
  • Have taken part in this initiative :
  • - Hassan Hattab, former emir of the GSPC
  • - El Hachemi Sahnouni, preacher and former imam of the Sounna mosque.
  • - Abdelhettah Ziraoui Hamdache, suppervisor of « Mirath essounna ».
  • - Rabia Cherif Said, head of the Medical Committee and member of the legal advice.
  • - Madi Cheikh Abderrahmane, preacher and founder of the Islamist armed group GIA.
  • - Mourad Khattab, a founding member of the GSPC
  • - Abdelkader Ben Messaoud, former emir of the seventh region of the GSPC.
