The king of Morocco accuses Algeria

Taking advantage of the opportunity of the celebration of 60th birthday of the human rights declaration, the king of Morocco accuses Algeria of being the enemy of his territorial unity. In a declaration, on the occasion of the sixtieth birthday of the declaration of the human rights, read before the consultative Council of the human rights, held today, Wednesday, in Rabat, the Moroccan monarch and his counsellors manage any effort to accuse Algeria, once again, of being the enemy of their territorial unity.

  • Accusing Algeria of being a threat for the territorial unity, the king of Morocco denounces, what he calls, the exploitation by Algeria of the question of the human rights 'The vile and ridiculous exploitation of the question of the human rights, on behalf of the enemies of the territorial unity, to escape their responsibilities in the cooperation to the efforts opened out by the international society, in order to find a political solution which would put a term to the regional conflict on the belonging of the Sahara, through the regional dialogues based on logic and a spirit of concordance,.
  • Concerning the Sahraouis refugees camps scattered on the south west borders of Algeria, his Highness described Tindouf as being a secret detention camp, 'in spite of their misplacement, they are the worse enemies of the human rights, and through their aggressive practices against the human rights in the secret detention camps, in spite of this, it won't be able to pull up our imperturbable will for the protection of the general liberties, both individual and collective, on the whole national territory, our positive opening policy and serious dialogue' he said.

  • What attracts the attention in the speech of the king of Morocco, was his persistence to say that 'Morocco would not save any effort that would allow the children of the southern provinces enjoy their legitimate right to return, freely, toward their mother nation', insinuating by there, the sahraouis refugees camps.

  • In the same order of ideas, the king of Morocco considers the conflict of the Western Sahara as being a pure manufacture, and that it would be a handicap for the development of the Arab Maghreb region, meaning Algeria, without naming it. ‘To put an end to this false conflict, which represents a handicap to the rights of the peoples for development', he makes the courageous proposition of an autonomy, whose objective would be the protection of the human rights, and the development of its creative capacities, what made the international organisation attribute a credibility to its harmony with the international norms.
