Health: Foreign laboratories invited to set up in Algeria

ALGIERS- All laboratories or suppliers wishing to deal with Algeria in the field of medicines and medical equipments have to sign a partnership agreement compelling them to set up in Algeria, declared Thursday here Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Djamel Ould Abbes.

  • "We demand top every laboratory interested in becoming a genuine partner to set up in Algeria," Ould Abbes told the press on the sidelines of a working session with a delegation of Polish enterprises led by the head of Polish Chamber of Commerce Andrzej Arendarski. Health minister underlined that « we will no longer import medicines or medical equipments, we will henceforth focus on the setting-up of plants in Algeria ».
