An Israeli patrol opened fire towards a Lebanese village
An Israeli patrol opened fire Tuesday in the direction of a wall at the entrance of a village near the Lebanese border, which included a drawing and a writing in favour of the Shiite Hezbollah, according to the Lebanese army.
- “A patrol of the Israeli enemy has begun at 10:30 am (08H30 GMT) to shoot toward the border village of Aadaissé (south-east), on a wall 20 meters from the border, no casualties,” said a press release from the army.
"A soldier got out of the vehicle and shot deliberately in the direction of the wall containing the inscriptions," said a spokesman for the army to the press, without further details.
On that wall was drawn a Star of David pierced by the hand of the resistance", referring to the Shiite movement's struggle against the Jewish State.
“A divine victory" could be read at the drawing, referring to the 2006 war between the Shiite movement and the Jewish State, during which Hezbollah had succeeded in spite of massive air raids and ground Israeli incursions to draw some 4,000 rockets into northern Israel.
The Lebanese army has reinforced its presence in the area, said the press release.
