Sonelgaz: salaries increase is related to the situation of each subsidiary
Algiers- the CEO of the group Sonelgaz, Mr. Noureddine Bouterfa said that the various unions representing the 36 subsidiaries of the group did not decide to strike, saying that a dialogue was opened to consider increasing salaries of workers according to the financial capabilities of each subsidiary.
- The CEO of Sonelgaz in an interview with Ennahar said there were 36 subsidiaries of the group of unions elected by workers. Dialogue, he said, was initiated to explore the possibility of increasing salaries. This dialogue will remain open with employees' representatives.
- For Mr. Bouterfa, each subsidiary is represented by an elected union. Thus, those who called the strike for legitimate claims would only seek to cause trouble. He adds that the services of electricity and gas supply will continue and will never be interrupted by the strike.
- Bouterfa says, workers in different branches of Sonelgaz enjoyed increases in their salaries up to 50% since 2003. The new increase will be according to the financial capabilities of each subsidiary, the fact that subsidiaries are economic institutions governed by the Code of Commerce.
