Hillary Clinton in Algeria before December
Algiers- Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mourad Medelci, said yesterday that the U.S. Secretary of State will visit Algeria during the year 2011.
- "The principle of the visit of Mrs. Clinton in Algeria was arrested in 2010 and the date of her visit will be fixed on the diplomatic front," said Medelci at the end of his meeting Tuesday in Washington with U.S. Secretary of State.
- Medelci and Clinton had talks in Washington on the situation in Libya and terrorist threats in the Sahel region, and security cooperation between Algeria and the United States.
- In the program of the visit of Medelci in the United States, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, meetings with senior U.S. officials, including the special adviser of President Barack Obama and Ambassador Daniel Benjamin, policy coordinator in the fight against terrorism and William Burns who recently visited Algeria.
