05 terrorists killed and 10 bunkers destroyed in Ouadhia and Beni Yenni

The combined security forces, assisted by an anti-terrorist unit and heavy weapons have succeeded at a major search operation in several areas of Ouadhia and Beni Yenni forests, Aïn El Hemmam, 40 kilometers east of the city of Tizi Ouzou, which lasted more than a week, in eliminating 05 of elements the terrorist organization ...El Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb..., among them the new emir of ...Katibat... Katibat El Katibat....

• According to our sources, this vast search operation in which heavy weapons have been used, came after information received about the existence of more than 20 armed terrorists in the region belonging to ‘Katibat El Ansar’ and ‘El Katibat Farouk’. These activate in the forests of ‘Sidi Ali Bounab’ on the heights of the eastern regions linking Tizi Ouzou to Boumerdes.

• The terrorist group had managed to slip in before the army tightened the noose around them by intense bombardments on these dense forests. The operation is still going on, while the security services have managed to defuse bombs and destroy some 10 bunkers used as shelters by terrorists in that region.
  
  The security services have recovered large quantities of food products and medicines after blocking all the exits to prevent terrorists from escaping. The patrols have been reinforced and more security barriers have been erected in different hot points where terrorists could hide.
