Boumerdès: Tens of caches and bunkers destroyed

Several regions in the department of Boumerdes know these days large sweep operations that have affected the sites where activate ...Katibates El Arkam..., ...El Ansar... and ...El Farouk.... Armed terrorist groups have been surrounded by the army forces; they suffered in recent times of an embargo and pressure exerted by the army forces who tightened the noose around them. This situation has obliged these groups to extort civilians in order to ensure their daily food in order to survive.

• An armed terrorist group composed of 04 elements who belonged to ‘Katibat El Farouk’ has stolen a bus last week in an area near the village of Ouled Ali, in Chaâbet El Amer. The bus which belongs to a citizen, has been filled with food estimated, according to our sources, at 05 million cents, stolen from a store located in this isolated region. Two terrorists were charged for monitoring the bus and store owners so that they can not denounce them to the security services. But this terrorist group fled when they came across an army patrol which was returning from a routine operation in the region. The elements of the national army have recovered the bus and its contents. This explains that terrorist groups are starving because of the lack of food and resorted to theft and racketeering in order to support the troops mainly in remote areas. In these areas, citizens are obliged to give money and food.
  
  Army forces have launched a major search operation using helicopters and heavy artillery against the terrorist sites. These would be groups of ‘Katibat El Farouk’ whose number of elements would not exceed 19 terrorists, who, after the death of their emir ‘Bouzegza Abderrahmane’, alias ‘Abu Osra’ joined ‘Saryate Ech-cham’, led by the terrorist ‘Djamel Djaadi’, alias ‘Younès Abu Talha’, a native of Lakhdaria. Two terrorists were eliminated before yesterday evening, while the search operation is still underway.
  
  According to security sources in the department of Boumerdès, the pressure and the siege over the remaining terrorist elements, as well as the blows to the organization's stronghold in Tizi Ouzou, Boumerdes and a region of Lakhdaria, led the terrorists to look for other places to hide and other means of supply and how to move from one place to another to escape the continuous bombing operations. The bombing would, according to our sources, killed many of them.
  
  In addition, the site of activity to ‘Katibat El Arkam’ in ‘Boudhar’, and ‘Si Mustapha’ in Zemouri and the site of activity to ‘Katibat El Ansar’ in ‘Ain El Hamra’, in Bordj Ménaïl to the limits of Tizi Ouzou are experiencing large-scale sweeps following the surrender of terrorists from Khemis El Khechna and from the west who have surrendered to security services. The security forces have destroyed dozens of bunkers and caches and recovered quantities of explosives materials and supplies. Support cells to terrorists have been dismantled.
