Four soldiers killed and three wounded in an explosion

Four soldiers were killed before yesterday evening, while three others were injured in a bomb of high intensity in the region of ...Ouled Boudekhane... in ...Chaâbet El-Amer..., south of the department of Boumerdes.

  • The operation, according to reliable sources to Ennahar, occurred at about 8 pm in the village of ‘Boudekhane’ which is considered a rear base for terrorist groups, where army forces have recently conducted an extensive search operation following the seizure of a truck loaded with food headed towards the forest to supply terrorists. These latter have prepared an ambush for the army forces who were preparing to enter the forest in pursuit of armed elements.

But then a bomb hidden on the side of the road exploded and killed four soldiers and injured three others. Two were wounded by terrorist gunfire, forcing the army forces to engage into a violent clash with the terrorist group who then fled into the forest. Our sources have not yet disclosed the identity of the terrorists killed when their weapons (Kalashnikov and Semenov) were recovered.

In addition, security forces have been strengthened by an additional arsenal in order to continue their search operation for terrorist group after of the operation which caused the deaths of four soldiers. According to our sources, such operations are adopted by terrorist groups to attract attention and create panic within the military. This shows also the lack that terrorist groups suffered after the dismantling of support cells on which they relied heavily in their terrorist activities.
