Bouteflika controls the influence of the army and El Qaeda is no longer a danger for Algeria
According to the latest report of an economic study based on political and economic situations in Algeria and forecasts for the years 2009 and 2010, the ...El Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb... is no longer a danger to the country's political stability.

The report also highlights the important first step that has been made towards stability in comparison with the situation that prevailed in the nineties.
In this sense, the report speaks of the success of Abdelaziz Bouteflika, during his reign of 10 years, in reducing the influence of the military on the state, compared to the 90s.
