The terrorist organization ...El Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb... has launched a new recruitment campaign for children and adolescents from families who have lost one of their members activating in its ranks. Daughters of members of the organization are married to young adolescents in order to recruit them and in the organization, according to security sources.

  • El Qaeda is trying, through this new method to attract new recruits among minors and youth to strengthen its groups and in particular to program new suicide bombers after the organization has lost more than 160 elements during the last months.
The organization's members make contact with the families of elements eliminated by security forces in order to incite for hatred against the state and the authorities, and of course for revenge.

According to sources of Ennahar the organization, in order to achieve its objectives, makes promises to families to marry their daughters who have reached the age of marriage, especially those families who are frowned upon by society because of the involvement of their children in terrorism.

Moreover, according to our sources, many families contacted by El Qaeda, have left their homes to other unknown places, to protect their children, especially their daughters from the terrorist organization. Other families have resigned under threats or promises. Children are exploited to provide information on the movements of members of security forces, before being directly recruited and then brainwashed by ideas of ‘jihad’. Meetings are held between the elements of El Qaeda and these children so that they fit with what they call the 'Mujahideen'. These children and teenagers are trained in firearms and arts of war.

The El Qaeda, under the command of Abou Mosaâb Abdelouadoud, alias Abdelmalek Droukdal,
takes advantage of the phase of adolescence in their recruitment by promising them of marriage to the daughters of elements of the organization and prevents them from returning home. At the wedding, organized by El Qaeda, all conditions are met for to make them feel at ease during the first days of marriage. They are given large sums of money and their rooms are prepared for the occasion. Other young people, who do not join terrorist groups on an ongoing basis, visit them during the day can meet their wives and provide the latest information to terrorists and then go home at night after spending a time with their wives.

El Qaeda uses all means to indoctrinate young people and encourage them to join. It tries to create in them the feeling of hatred and revenge. El Qaïda gives them the names of terrorists eliminated by the security forces. The phenomenon of the hatred between the children of families of members in the terrorist organization and the children of the elements of the security forces is fuelled by El Qaeda in a sense of revenge against those who killed their parents.

The security services have encountered many difficulties in investigations and research that many adolescents have disappeared because of the fact that their families do not tell about their disappearance.

El Qaeda also uses girls who provide information on the movements of the security forces. These girls have sexual or romantic relationships with members of security forces in order to have information.

    Tempted by money and marriage

Belkacem Fayçal and many others, are victims of the terrorist organization, who were lured by money and marriage to join terrorism.
'D. Faisal, 17, has joined the organization after having recently met with the terrorist Houdeifa who had indoctrinated him. The latter said that Houdeifa gave him money and offered him a million centimes to commit an attack against the headquarters of the security forces before the security services arrested him.

The second case, the young ‘Abdesslam B.’ 17, a native of El Harrach, who was a student at the secondary school, when the terrorists started contacting him, trying to convince him to join support groups terrorists of ‘Katibat El Arkam’ in Tizi Ouzou. ‘A. B.’ said that they had prevented him from continuing his secondary education. He succumbed to the temptation of money. The same thing happened with the name ‘B. Belkacem,’ 16, from Oued S'mar, who committed a terrorist operation. According to his statement, he collaborated with the chief of ‘Saryate’ Bordj Ménaïl who gave him money in return he was asked to carry out operations against security forces before he is arrested and sentenced to ten years in prison.

Abou El Haithem and the emir of ‘Katibat En-nour’ gays

The terrorist organization El Qaeda refers to poor families in order to recruit young children into its ranks. These are first tempted by money that El Qaeda uses as bait before they are involved in sexual relationships that prevent them from returning home.

Many young children, who joined El Qaeda, have suffered rape by members of the terrorist organization. Aïssa from Bordj Ménaïl tells us how he was the victim of terrorist groups that have filmed him when he was killing a communal guard. Sexual abuse and homosexuality are widespread among terrorist groups. Hicham, a repentant 29, tells of a young from Bordj Ménaïl who had tried to have sex with him but he refused. Terrorists, he said, engaged in sex with young recruits, especially since terrorists sleep in very close bunkers.

According to a repentant, ‘Abou El Haithem Saâdaoui’ eliminated in 2007, was a true homosexual. He and the terrorist Ali Boudemia never quit each other and a third terrorist called ‘Mouh Redjla’ who spent his nights with the emir claiming to be his advice.
