The gendarmerie and protesters clash in Elcheraga

Sidi Hassan neighbourhood in Elcheraga,Algiers,knew a clashes between region’s young people and member of riot-control forces of the Gendarmerie National service accusing them of failing to properly investigate the murder of AIT OUARET ABDELMALEK by a group of youngsters yesterday beside his Small Kiosk in Elcheraga.

• The killers celebrated the event by car horns sound,after their release,to provoke the victim’s family and friends.

• Security forces interfered in an effort to disperse the protesters and open the roads using water cannon and tear gas.Residents fought back with rocks and petrol bombs.

• The father of the victim who was stabbed to death says that authorities failed to prosecute the killer,"He has to pay,they must arrest the killers,this is unfair and unacceptable.I only ask them to put in jail those who killed my son."
