The majority of car dealers that are proliferating on the Algerian market offer facilities and many promotions to customers to increase sales that have registered significant decline since the beginning of the year for many of them.

  • The global economic crisis has also its impact on the car market in Algeria. Algerians do their calculations after years of sales with ease. These facilities come in all forms of insurance risks, reductions of up to 40,000 Dinars, guarantees that extend up to 2 years, installation of (Sirghaz) GPL equipment and other additional services such as air conditioning etc.. in order to catch customers who do not buy as before because of the cost price but mainly because of the new tax on cars which had a negative impact on the vehicle market in the country.

The dealers then seek ways to attract potential customers. These practices have become more than necessary. To do this, they provide attractive facilities for customers to attract them when the car became a necessity for the Algerians.

For the first quarter of this year, many car dealers saw a decline and stagnation in the sale of their vehicles, such as Sovac, Sokodé, Maruti, Bavaria Motors, Seat, Zotye, Mitsubishi and other who, to remedy to this stagnation, offer discounts and promotions for the month.

Dacia proposes for the period from 1 to 30 April to customers who want to acquire one of its vehicles, a free air conditioner for the ‘New Logan’ which is sold 669,000 dinars.
Citroen offers its customers a year of all insurance risk.

Védis proposes a reduction of 35,000 dinars on the Chana, Fiat is proposing a reduction plus an insurance coverage for its tourist vehicle ‘Linea’.
