Bouteflika sent a message of condolence to the Italian President

The president, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, expressed his ...sadness and pain... after the earthquake that struck Monday in Italy, in a message of condolence to his Italian counterpart, Giorgio Napolitano.

•  “I learnt with great sadness and sorrow the news of the earthquake that hit your friendly country,” wrote President Bouteflika in his message. “In this painful ordeal, let me offer my deepest condolences on behalf of the people and the Algerian Government and on my behalf,” he added. “We assure you, and the Italian people and families of the victims, our sympathy and solidarity and our friendship, "said the president.
