Berraf withdraws from Algerian Olympic Committee

Outgoing president of the Algerian Olympic Committee (AOC), Mustapha Berraf, announced Tuesday his withdrawal from the national Olympic body, adding that the elective assembly would be postponed.

• "Yes, I confirm my (definitive) withdrawal from the AOC," he told APS. "I won't reconsider my decision," he added. He besides stressed, in a release, his withdrawal "from all activities held by the Algerian Olympic Committee. In this respect, Berraf will not stand for the coming elections.
