Windsurfing: Algeria prepares for Mediterranean Games and Africa championships

National sailing teams are making intensive preparations for the 2009 Mediterranean Games in Pescara (Italy), scheduled from 25 June to 5 july, and the African Optimist Championship, due to be held in South Africa from 1 to 19 July, said Tuesday the Algerian Sailing Federation (FAV).

• The sailing events in the Mediterranean Games of Pescara will concern two heats: "Laser" and "Boardsailing RSX." The objective of the Algerian team is to "achieve creditable results as we will compete with the Mediterranean athletes who are among the world's best in many heats," said the person in charge of communication at the federation.
