The match Algeria - Egypt planned Sunday at 20:30 at Mustapha Tchaker stadium (Blida) for the second day of the combined qualifications World Cup and Africa Cup 2010 will be played before an over crowded stadium, announced Friday the Algerian Federation Football (FAF).

  • Tickets on sale were all sold. Only those having tickets will be allowed on the premises, said the same source.

The stadium officials had fixed the prices of tickets at 1000 and 2000 Algerian dinars. Given the enthusiasm of the public, the city of Blida decided to set up two giant screens, one near the stadium and the other downtown.

On the other hand, the FAF (Algerian Federation of Football) announced that the use of pyrotechnics (smoke) and firecrackers is strictly prohibited inside the stadium according to the latest instructions of the FIFA. This latter threatens the national federations of severe sanctions.

If such incidents occur, the Disciplinary Committee of FIFA will impose tougher sanctions, such as deduction of points or the elimination from the competition.

Finally, the press conference that would be held by the national selector Rabah Saadane at 11:30 Saturday was cancelled because of the heavy schedule of national coach.
