(Sudan)- The first group of Algerian supporters arrived Monday at 8 a.m. (5 a.m. GMT) in Khartoum (Sudan) aboard a charter flight of the Algerian Airline Company Air-Algérie from Algiers.

  • The first flight carried some 250 supporters who went to Sudan to cheer on the Desert foxes during the playoff match against the Pharaohs, scheduled for 18 November at El Merikh Stadium in Khartoum, as part of the 2010 World Cup/ African Cup of Nations joint qualifiers.
  •
  • Thirty other flights will carry the Algerian supporters to Khartoum, said the air-crew of the Airbus 330, adding that three flights are scheduled for Monday. The fans, including mainly students, trainees or civil servants, aged between 23 and 40, coming from different regions of the country, told APS that they managed to pay their trip to Sudan.
