The fennecs warmly cheered in Algiers

Algiers- A festive welcome was reserved to the national football team at their arrival Thursday at the Airport International Houari Boumediene in Algiers.

• ''Min Djibalina'' (national patriotic song) was performed by the Republican Guard, then the players took seat in a specially equipped bus.
• The aircraft of Air Algeria, which carried the ''heroes'' of the battle of Khartoum, landed and parked in front of the VIP lounge at Algiers airport, before a guard of honour formed by Abdelaziz Belkhadem, Minister of State, Personal Representative of the President of the Republic.
• Relaxed, smiling, happy to have snatched breathtaking qualifying to the World Cup in South Africa, Antar Yahia, Matmour, Chaouchi and Ghezzal took place on the top floor of a specially equipped bus which must carry them to Algiers main streets. Players of the national team rode on the bus while the Republican Guard band sang patriotic songs, including the thrilling ''Min djibalina.''
