Swine flu: 20 million people to be vaccinated in Algeria

Annaba (Algeria)- Twenty million people will be vaccinated in Algeria, in the coming days, against A/H1N1 influenza, said Friday in Annaba the minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Said Barkat.

  • Speaking on the margins of the opening of the second international conference on deafness, the minister underlined that the number of the people to be vaccinated accounts for about 60% of the country's population. He affirmed, in this respect, that all prevention measures have been taken, on both human and material levels, to fight against the pandemic which has reached level six according to the virus evolution as predicted by the World Health Organization (WTO).
