Zaher: «Raouraoua's wife accused us of corruption »
The recognition, by Ahmed Choubeir, of the merit for the qualification of the Algerian national team for tthe World Cup 2010 has led many voices to make provocative statements against Algeria.
- On their heads, as usual, appears the president of the Egyptian Football Federation, Samir Zaher, who said that Choubeir tried to hide the truth for his personal interest. He also said he intended to file a complaint, at the African confederation of football CAF, against the wife of Mr. Raouraoua. The President of the FEF, speaking at the sports broadcast on « Dream » channel has declared his intention to file a complaint, to the instances of the CAF against the wife of the President of the Algerian Football Federation ( FAF), Mr Mohamed Raouraoua, but had recanted because he was, according to him, busy with celebration after the victory of the Egyptian team who won the African Cup. Mrs. Raouraoua, according to Zaher, would have accused the egyptian federation of having bribed the referee Kofi Kodjia at the match Algeria-Egypt in the semi-finals of the CAN.
Zaher, thereby, undermining Mrs Raouraoua although he lacks evidence and based his allegation on the sayings of the Egyptian referee who also accuses the wife of Raouraoua. The latter has not responded to thses allegations, preferring to apply the adage "silence is the best answer for a fool."
Furthermore, Zaher said that those who want to hide the truth about aggression against Egyptian supporters in Sudan and the attack against the bus of the Pharaohs, think only of their personal interests. Alluding to the presenter Ahmed Choubeir who recognized the merit of the qualification of the Algerian national team to the World Cup in South Africa, and also stated that the Algerian fans had not attacked the Egyptians in Omdurman as has been reported by the Egyptian television and media.Zaher said that Algerian fans had destroyed the bus of the sEgyptian election and turned the streets of Omdurman, after winning the match against his country, into a battlefield, forgetting what the Egyptians have endured to the unfortunate Algerian fans in Cairo and the attack on the Green’s bus that resulted in the injury of three players, like Halliche and Lemouchia, seriously wounded in the head. The sons of Mubarak, according to Zaher, remained in Sudan to ensure the safety of Egyptian fans, referring to the deployment of Algerian armed forces of in Sudan.
