ALGIERS - The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has called on national supporters to "public spirit, fair play and responsibility" during the match against Morocco in the African Cup qualifier-2012, Sunday in Annaba, the largest city in the east of Algeria.

  •    They must "respect the implementation of the national anthems of both countries to refrain from using pyrotechnics (flares or fireworks) dangerous for spectators and harmful to the national team that may face a penalty from FIFA and CAF," said Friday the website of the FAF.
  •    It is also forbidden to bring into the stadium any object that may become a projectile, such as cans or bottles.
  •    Wednesday at the office opening of ticket sales at the stadium, about fifty people, including five policemen, were injured in scuffles.
  •    The 19 May 1956 Stadium is the only outlet of the 45,000 tickets for the Algerian public. A total of 51,000 people, including 3,000 Moroccans are expected Sunday.
  •    Algeria is last in Group D with a point, Morocco co-leader (4 pts) with CAR.
