In a statement, of which Ennahar obtained a copy, by the Egyptian club of Zamalek, signed by the chairman of the board and the adviser Ibrahim Jalal, following the incidents that marred the game between Zamalek and African Club of Tunisia at Cairo Stadium, club officials apologize to the Algerian people after the attack against the Algerian referee.

  • The statement focuses on the apology by the administration of the Zamalek football club, the President of the Egyptian Football Federation, Samir Zaher and Chairman of the sport council Hassan Saqr to the Algerian people, sent to the Algerian embassy official in Cairo.
The statement recounted the events at the Cairo Stadium when about 600 people flooded the ground around 10 am, armed with sticks and knives.
