Olympics 2012 Qualifying: Algeria to play in Tangier and Marrakech

ALGIERS - The first two matches of the Algerian Olympic Football team at the qualifier tournament for the London 2012 Olympic Games, scheduled in Morocco from November 26 to December 10 will be held in Tangier, while the third is scheduled in Marrakech, according to the schedule competition published on Wednesday by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

    The Algerian team will begin the tournament against Senegal on November 26 at 9:30 pm (Algeria time) at the new Stadium of Tangier. The other Group A match between Nigeria and Morocco will also be held in Tangiers at 6:30 pm.

  • The Algerian Olympic play then against Morocco on November 29 at 6:30 pm still at Tangier Stadium, then complete the first round against Nigeria on December 2 at 8:00 pm in Marrakech. The other match of the third day between Morocco and Senegal is scheduled at the same time in Tangier. Group B consists of teams from Egypt, Ivory Coast, Gabon and South Africa.

  • The first two days of meetings of this group will be held in Marrakech, while the third is divided between Marrakech and Tangier. The top three teams in the competition will qualify directly for the Olympic tournament "London 2012". The fourth placed team will play a play-off April 26 in London against a team from Asia.
