نفى المكتب السياسي لتجمع الميثاق الوطني إصدار أي بيان رسمي بشأن الأحداث الأخيرة في الكويت وبالأخص فيما يتعلق بانتخابات مجلس الامة، مؤكداً أن الأخبار التي تناولت ذلك عارية عن الصحة.وكانت أنباء قد ترددت في وقت سابق عن اصدار التجمع لبيان أعلن فيه مقاطعته للانتخابات البرلمانية المرتقبة في 1 ديسمبر 2012، كرد على تعديل آلية التصويت إلى الصوت الواحد.
