رغم وجود مشروع منذ سنين طويلة لإعادة تهيئة ميناء الرايس حميدو غرب العاصمة، للسماح برسو السفن الصغيرة للصيد والزوارق؛ لجعل الميناء مكانا للسياحة والصيد، إلا أن سكان غرب العاصمة تيقنوا أخيرا أن الأمر مجرد حبر على ورق، خاصة بعد أن شاهدوا أرصفة الميناء وهي تنهار وأخذت شيئا فشيئا تغرق في البحر دون أدنى تحرك من السلطات المحلية وعلى رأسها المجلس الشعبي البلدي ومديرية الأشغال العمومية المعنية بإعادة تهيئة مثل هذه الموانئ.
